Trans County Transportation Society

Due to the COVID-19 increase, Trans County Transportation Society will be suspending all services as of March 29th, 2020 to ensure we are following current guidelines to protect the health of our staff and our community.

As recommended by the Government of Nova Scotia, Hants Learning Network Association is closed and all programs and services are cancelled until April 6, 2020. In an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, the practitioners at Centennial Professional Center (Drs Mullan, Grant, Klippenstine and J Green NP) have moved to telephone appointments. Western Counties Regional Library branches

As of March 16, 2020, all Western Counties Regional Library branches and Books by Mail services are closed to the public for three weeks in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Patrons will not be charged late fees for materials on loan during this period and we encourage everyone to keep their borrowed materials until libraries re-open.

The library has a digital library that is accessible all the time to download eBooks, audiobooks, digital magazines.

Please be advised, the County of Annapolis in cooperation with the Towns of Middleton and Annapolis Royal will be postponing the annual Annapolis County Volunteer Awards Ceremony scheduled for April 22nd at Kings Theatre, Annapolis Royal due the public health concerns surrounding the Pandemic and the COVID 19. We will be taking the advice of NS Public Health.
We want to extend our congratulations to all our community volunteers on this well-deserved honour and look forward to recognizing over 40 community volunteers who have been nominated sometime in the future.

Annapolis County’s City Nature Challenge

Please be advised, Annapolis County’s City Nature Challenge scheduled for April 26th at Old Mill Trail has been cancelled due the public health concerns surrounding the pandemic and Covid-19. In response to the pandemic, Hike NS will not be supporting any hikes throughout March and April. Instead, people are being encouraged to turn this into an individual challenge and learn more about the iNaturalist app which will help participants identify unique flora and fauna in their own backyards, as well as local parks and trails. Valley Restorative Justice provides the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program to Annapolis County, Kings County and part of West Hants County. As of March 20, 2020, our office is closed to the public and all in-person meetings have been cancelled until further notice.
