Do NOT Abbreviate the year, 2020!
A police department in Maine has some SOLID advice for everyone as we make our way into this new decade. In a Facebook post, the East Millinocket Police Department said writing “20” for the year 2020 could lead to potential fraud. By simply putting “20” on documents, you could be leaving things wide open for fraud. By not writing down the complete 4 digit year, someone could easily add additional numbers to your date by placing (for example 19) to the end of it, making it look like “2019”. Here is a little more in an article from NECN.
