Celebrate Red Wine Day August 28th!

Whether you prefer a fine wine after a hard day at work, with a few of your favorite friends at the local pub, or enjoy a glass or 2 during dinner, red wine is perfect any time!

Here are some benefits:

✓ Good for your heart – Grapes are loaded with antioxidants. Resveratrol is believed to be the key ingredient in red wine that is good for blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and increases the good kind of cholesterol – HDL.
✓ Cancer – Drinking dark red wine may also reduce the risk of colon, lung and prostate cancer. Some believe resveratrol attacks cancerous cells and “inhibits their ability to function.”
✓ Brain Power – Resveratrol may also help keep your memory sharp-as-a-whistle.
✓ Colds – Red wine may help keep the common cold at bay.
✓ Red wine may help prevent tooth decay.
✓ Resveratrol testing on animals suggests it may also help protect against obesity and diabetes. The skin of red grapes may help regulate blood sugar.
